Kenshin has burgundy-red hair and normally gold eyes. His skin is slightly tan, his build muscular. He is rarely seen without a smile on his face. When he activates his clan’s genjutsu capabilities, his eyes turn similar to the picture shown in the bottom link. He wears a purple short-sleeve shirt under a dark-purple vest with his clan symbol on the back (see bottom link). He wears black pants and black sandals. His hair is slightly longer on one side. His headband is tied across the forehead, his bangs covering the Suna symbol.
Personality: Kenshin laughs easily, and loves to play pranks. He likes nothing more than to irritate the living daylights out of his partner Kikiro. He’s a bit of a daredevil, and loves a risk or a challenge. He likes to think of rules as suggestions rather than rules. He is Gaara’s favorite office aid.
Background: Born and raised in Suna, Kenshin was only three when his father and mother died on a peace mission to bring medical aid to small towns in the dunes of Wind Country. He was put into the home of his aunt, who gave him both home and guidance while he went to the ninja academy. At the age of seven, Kenshin was in a lesson where he was told to perform a simple genjutsu and make a plant appear to be an empty pot. Instead, he managed to make the plant appear to eat his teacher whole, and regurgitate him in his chair at his desk. Eyewitnesses say that his eyes turned peculiar colors when this happened. Terrified, the other children fled, but Kenshin did not, instead preferring to poke his now unconscious teacher with “a sharp stick” (later turning out to be nothing more than a sharpened pencil). He went home that day and asked his aunt about it, telling her every last detail. She then told him the family bloodline: that all Mira Clan members (including his father, aunt and self) had a special talent with genjutsu. Especially genjutsu triggered through eye contact and through the ocular organs. Studying hard, he excelled at every genjutsu the teachers at the academy threw at him, and he graduated at age eleven second in his class (Kikiro, his best friend, was first). He was placed on a team with his friend Kikiro, and the two have been friends and coworkers ever since. They now are jonin who work under the Kazekage in the Tower.
Strengths: Genjutsu, particularly ocular genjutsu. Fairly strong in taijutsu and average in ninjutsu.
Weaknesses: Hates birds. They scare him.
Other: He has an annoying habit of not following orders. He enjoys sandboarding, which is similar to snowboarding. He is an adrenaline-junkie, and likes the rush of near-death missions. Kikiro is fun to annoy in his opinion. He wants a girlfriend, but is actually too shy to ask women out. He was attacked by a messenger hawk as a child, and has long since had a fear of birds.
